Kibera Utu Montessori Academy

In January 2011, a small Montessori kindergarten for the poorest children in the area was opened in Kibera, Africa's largest slum, in Nairobi (Kenya). Together with the Dialog Center, we decided to support it by equipping it with basic Montessori aids. The aids were taken to Kenya twice, the first batch being taken by one volunteer in January 2012 and the second by "adoptive parents" from the Adoption of African Children project, in July.
