The citizens association HAIMA Ostrava was established in December 1996 and operates at the Children's Hemato-oncology Department of the College Hospital in Ostrava as an association of parents and friends of children with hematopoietic disorders. It is a non-profit organization whose members perform their functions voluntarily and free of charge.
They are motivated by their personal experience of contact with small patients and their efforts to help them and their families solve difficult life situations.
